Well, they're H&M, obviously. Because a) the Nicholas Kirkwood pair would set me back £1030 and b) if I'm going to buy 'zany' shoes you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be cheap. I can't really see the point in flashing the cash if what you're buying won't date well (like my Helmut Lang skirt yesterday, or the Tods I bought in college that I still wear). Still, for under £25 I can play around with colour, as there is something perversely attractive a shoe that has so much going on all over the place. I still can't figure out if they are ugly beautiful or just plain ugly. Or if I even care when there's so much to look at.
What do you think of the, er, 'tribute' shoe? Are the too cheap for words? Could you ever stomach spending over a grand on the real ones pictured below?
